The journey has begun.

As time allows, we'll be adding more about who we are, what we're building, and where we're headed. Until then, thanks for dropping in.

The Future of Business is Culture

Culture is the invisible thread that runs through everything we do. It defines how we care for our elderly, protect the vulnerable, and treat those around us. It shapes families, communities, and companies. At its core, culture is the heartbeat of humanity and the soul of any business.
At PaT, we take a structured view of culture. We define it as a cycle of four connected elements:

Beliefs → Attitudes → Actions → Behaviours

Beliefs are shaped by education. Those beliefs influence our attitudes, which in turn drive our actions. Over time, actions become habits, and those habits shape our behaviours—the most visible evidence of a company’s culture.

Reimagining the Systems That Shape Culture

When we set out to build PaT, we realised that most of the business tools used to shape culture were disconnected. Businesses typically use separate systems for training, audits, communication, SOPs, planning, HR, dashboards, Forms, Intranets, Scheduling, Surveys and Polls, Bulletin Boards, Filing systems and tasks. Few of them talk to each other, and most of them were designed in the 1980s and improved over time.

The lightbulb wasn’t invented by improving the candle, we saw an opportunity to stop, reset, and rebuild these disconnected systems as a single, integrated superapp using modern thinking and modern tech including AI.

Through the lens of Systems Thinking—a modern, holistic approach to problem-solving—we asked: what if we could rebuild these apps in a single platform, remove the friction, eliminate the gaps, and infuse automation and intelligence into the systems that manage culture?

The answer became PaT.

Culture, Powered by PaT

Beliefs are set in our LMS. Unlike traditional training tools, PaT deeply integrates learning with real-world work, tasks, and audits. You can teach a standard, then test for understanding in the actual work context, and validate with automated inspections. The result? Education that finally sticks. We no longer hear “oh sorry, I didn’t know that” or “no one told me”

Attitudes shift through application. Once your people are educated, the way they apply their knowledge matters. In PaT, Strategy Documents (a unique document type we invented that is used extensively throughout PaT) allows you to align teams around goals, while integrated Planning and Task systems make it easy to execute with clarity and accountability in ways you simply can’t do using traditional tools.

Actions are managed by the PaT Task Engine, which turns communication into digitally powered workstreams and ensures nothing falls through the cracks. This engine operates like a 24/7 personal assistant, automatically following up, escalating missed deadlines, and keeping things moving.

Behaviours are measured in real-time. With Borderless Data™ and beautiful dashboards, for the first time you can visualise the impact of your culture. Pull in data from any system and see what’s working, what’s not, and what needs attention.

Why This Matters

Systems Thinking is already shaping the world around us. It helped make AI real. It’s helping solve complex challenges like climate change and previously incurable cancers. It’s the tool of choice for those serious about change.

And now, it’s here for business.

By managing culture as a system, PaT enables you to lead with confidence, act with integrity, and build a company where the right things happen for the right reasons.

Welcome to the future of business. Welcome to PaT.

4 Elements - Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water.

Throughout history, these classical elements have symbolized and explained facets of the natural world and human existence. In crafting PaT, we’ve distilled our beliefs into four essential elements:

  • Well People: Learn More

Within the Wellness app, it’s about fostering emotional intelligence, adaptability, and compassion, allowing you to flow through obstacles and achieve wellness.

  • People who Learn More: Achieve More

In our Learning Management System (LMS) app, we ignite your transformation and passion. Here, you’ll find the courage, willpower, and energy to achieve more.

  • People who Manage Achievements: Earn More

The PaT Task Management Super-App is all about grounding achievements in the material world. It brings stability, reliability, and endurance, helping you reap the rewards you deserve.

  • People who Collaborate Better: Achieve the Most

Our PaT Chat App harnesses the power of intellect and communication. It fosters freedom, movement, and change, enabling you to collaborate effectively and achieve greatness.

By aligning our four elements with the classic elements:

  • Wellness (Water): Embraces emotions, intuition, and adaptability. It’s a symbol of compassion, healing, and purification.

  • LMS (Fire): Ignites transformation, energy, and passion. It’s the driving force behind both creation and destruction, embodying courage and willpower.

  • Task Management Super-app (Earth): Represents stability, the tangible world, and material aspects of life. It’s a symbol of reliability, endurance, and fertility.

  • PaT Chat App (Wind/Air): Symbolizes intellect, communication, and thought. It’s the embodiment of freedom, movement, and change.

In PaT, these elements are the foundation upon which you’ll build your path to excellence and achievement.

5 Key Concepts

1. Continuum

Almost every concept (understanding drawn from a fact or logic that we apply a word to) exists on a continuum (a continuous sequence in which adjacent elements are not perceptibly different from each other, but the extremes are quite distinct).

Consider the concept we call LIFE, at one end of this concept is a baby, at the other a senior citizen, in the middle it is difficult to distinguish the differences from day to day – however the extremes are clearly distinct.

This is the challenge with communication. What is young? What is old?

Tell five people to walk into a crowd of 100 people and bring back all the young people.

To complicate things further, as we move through our own lives, our own definitions of what is young and what is old – changes.

This ambiguity in language filters through to instructions, instructions fuel performance.

Performance determines the levels of excellence we deliver which in turn delivers the level of income, job security and customer/employee satisfaction we enjoy.

The concept of “fuel” exists on a continuum ranging between low octane and high octane. High performing cars perform at their best when fed high octane fuel. Not just fuel. Specificity is critical to high performance.

Take the concept we call WORK, at the bottom end of the continuum there is ‘no work’ at the top of the work continuum there is ‘maximium work’ in the middle are different levels of ‘work’ that vary from easy to hard. What one person thinks of as hard work is often quite different to what another person thinks is hard work. Yet they can both be talking about ‘hard work’, think they are on the same wavelength but in reality be talking about different things. When they both agree to work hard they will likely end up applying different levels of effort, attention and problem solving.

This misalignment can be tracked back to be the root cause of most communication and performance issues.

Imagine if each person had the exact same clear definition of what it means to work hard then applied that understanding when instructed to. Thats a high pefroming team. Perfectly aligned.

Are all your staff perfectly aligned to the standards set by the leadership team. If so you dont need PaT.

The same issue applies to ideas people hold around concepts such as ‘quality of work’, ‘deadlines’, ‘trust’, ‘integrity’, ‘leadership’ ‘customer expectations’ just about everything falls into this trap of potential misalignment – this is key issue PaT solves, PaT removes ambguity and replaces it with fact.

Less ambiguity, more fact = less waste and higher performance.

High quality fuel.

The PaT LMS (Learning Management System) allows specific definitions of business standards so everyone is singing off the same hymn sheet. Perfectly aligned.

The Task Management engine drives a tightly defined concept of Integrity across the organisation.

Replacing ambiguity with specificity is a key step in acheving excellence PaT helps you achieve this enforcing a rigid structure to frame up projects, tasks and how you store and communicate your IP to your people.

5 Key Concepts

2. Email Creates Friction

Communication is another key factor in delivering brilliant outcomes.

Traditional email (outlook, gmail) and chat apps (Messenger, Slack, Whats App, WeChat) support a ‘flat’, static document structure which is perfect  for simple comms however they increasingly hinder a persons ability to deliver brilliant outcomes as challenges become increasingly more complex.

Herein lies the rub, paradoxically, process and people challenges are often complex in business and the fact is that complex problems require complex solutions (the lightbulb wasnt invented by continuously improving the candle) yet most businesses continue to struggle trying to solve complex issues with flat document structures “when all you have is a hammer, you tend to treat everything as if it were a nail (Abraham Maslow, 1966)”, when what they actually need is a more advanced tool.

For this reason PaT “broke up with email”, spreadsheets and Word documents (candles) and created PaT Chat (our answer to the lightbulb).

Pat Chat provides an advanced communication platform supporting many advanced features such as “convert to task”, “auto-followup”, auto-follow”, “auto-reminder” etc…(find out more by exploring the chat section on our website homepage).

Pat Chat integrates with Outlook Exchange and Gmail to manage comms with external 3rd parties (customers and suppliers), PaT transforms chats into emails and vica versa effectively giving emails the power PaT users enjoy with PaT Chats and PaT Chat completely replaces email for internal communication.

PaT Chats are a better way to communicate.

PaT Chat combined with Strategy Documents or SD’s (you’ll learn about these soon) lifts a persons communication ability to an even higher level. As lightbulbs were to the candle, LEDs are to the lightbulb. Using SDs to communicate is PaTs LED.

Pat Chat is used extensively throughout the PaT ecosystem, it integrates seamlessly with the LMS (profoundly improving an organisations ‘tribal learning’ ability) and is integrated with the PaT Task Engine (conversations can be instantly converted to tasks at the click of a button).

5 Key Concepts

3. Tasks

Everything is a task, whilst the idea of a task exists on a continuum, a PaT task (is again) specifically defined; outcome needed, assignee, deadline and it supports business critical functions such as negotiation ability, measurement reporting, via a rich communication platform that supports the behaviour of high performing teams.

Consider: If everything (tasks) were done to a high standard (PaT manages standards via the LMS) and done on time (managed by PaT Tasks) you’d have the best company on the planet. Think about it.

Unique features of PaT Tasks include:

  • Auto Opt-in.

A key feature of the PaT Task Management system is the foundational assumption that a PaT user automatically accepts any tasks given to them.

It is then beholden on the assignee to manage their workload and update task stakeholders if they realise they will not be able to meet a deadline and negotiate a new deadline BEFORE the deadline.

This is the minimum expectation of a mature employee who is part of a high-performing team. This is where the responsibility should rest, not with the person allocating tasks.

When the business shifts their staff to this way of thinking and service delivery, the lift in performance is profound.

One benefit of the PaT platform is how it helps users develop the advanced time management skills needed for a high-performing team, it does this initially by giving users the benefit of the doubt and assuming users have developed mature time management skills at some stage in their career; and then watching them fail.

Through the early stages of a PaT implementation it becomes apparent that few (~5%) people have developed the robust systems and skills to manage their workload brilliantly, to the level needed for a high-performing team. PaT addresses this issue first and foremost.

Lacking formal training and systems – most people develop a mix of manual (calendar, to do list, rely on memory), just in time (craming) and a sincerity based suite of justifications to explain task non-compliance – to get by.

In a high performing team there is only one acceptable outcome.

The job gets done to a high standard and on time; any deadline movements are discussed with stakeholders as soon as humanly possible.

We need to get everyone to level, this becomes one of the first milestones PaT helps us achieve, PaT provides the insights to first highlight the issue (via the Task Integrity metric) which opens the door to have the conversation which paves the way to put in the strategy to fix the problem, which includes the systems to manage time brilliantly (Standard Work Day/Week/Month forms, Horizon planning and Bought Forward Folders all of which you will learn about as a PaT user).

High performers are always excellent planners, part of their routine is to block time every day, week, month and year to review their workload and update stakeholders.

PaT not only provides the planning tools to become a master planner it supports them with unique digital functions baked into platform such as the Deadline Negotiation forum, database driven Auto-escalation tasks and the ever-present Task Integrity metric to help keep people on track, to excellence.

As a PaT user you’ll learn all about these through the onboarding process.

  • Recuring tasks

Systems that rely on trust always fail.

If a system relies on trusting a person to do a thing sooner or later that system will fail. Guaranteed. People will move, time will dilute the criticality of a solution, interpretation of a solution will naturally change over time as knowledge passes through different hands (aka Chinese whispers).

    Recurring Tasks solve this problem.

Yes, you will finally be able to fix issues for once and for all.

The definition of insanity is to do the same thing and expect a different result. PaT is the antidote for insanity. It provides the change mechanism to fix issues, forever.

Whenever anything goes wrong in a business it is always because of a process failing or a person problem and often a person not following a process correctly.

A common use for recurring tasks is to be used to trigger regular audits (inspect what you expect) to constantly check that processes are being followed as intended.

Companies that lack robust training and audit processes fall into a cycle of fixing issues using the “ambulance at the bottom of the cliff” approach. Some companies get brilliant at this reactive way of managing problems, some even become market leaders (helped by competitors that make them look good when they go-to-ground when issues arise as they deal with conflict poorly) that’s one strategy however the gold standard is to not allow the car to drive off the cliff in the first place.

PaT installs a barrier at the top of the cliff.

In PaT we do this using recurring tasks, whenever an issue is identified and a solution is created a recurring task is spun up to ensure the solution continues to work as designed in the future. Forever.

Whilst bulletproof systems often underestimate the ingenuity of fools, the recurring task system is as bulletproof as you can get, there has been significant thought, trial and error to develop this system to the point the only way it can fail is for an assignee to dishonestly complete a task and for the assignee (usually the supervisor but not always) to agree with the dishonesty or not bother to check. All of which is recorded if an investigation is required.

Build on these business philosophies

Introduction

Unlocking the Power of PaT: It Starts with Understanding

PaT isn’t your typical one-trick pony app; it’s a holistic system designed for a deeper level of commitment and understanding of business thinking used to build 9 figure businesses. To truly harness its potential, users need to buy into the thinking that underpins it.

The Foundation: Elemental Thinking

At the core of PaT are four elements, five key concepts, and six core business philosophies. To comprehend why PaT works, it’s crucial to grasp these foundational principles. They’re the bedrock of a successful implementation and the path PaT follows to support excellence.

Step 1: Explore the 4 Elements, 5 Key Concepts and 6 Philosophies.

Before diving into the details, familiarise yourself with the thinking in behind PaT.

Step 2: Commit to Understanding

Before requesting a free demo, ensure you’ve studied this section first. PaT does most of the heavy lifting, but your leadership plays a crucial role in upholding the system’s adherence, engaging in meaningful conversations about “why” is  pivotal to supporting organisational adoption which is what we cover here. Without it, quick implementation becomes challenging.
Note: This foundational knowledge is essential to grasp PaT’s full potential. It’s the key to practical problem-solving and understanding why PaT excels where others fall short.

Expect to invest about 30 minutes in understanding these inner workings. If that seems too extensive, traditional apps like Monday, Asana, Trello, and others might be a better fit for your needs.

But if you seek an integrated platform that combines their strengths and more, one that offers a deeper level of commitment in return for higher levels of excellence, then we invite you to explore PaT.
